School timings changed in Kashmir from November 1

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) today announced new school timings for both government and recognized private institutions across the Kashmir division, effective November 1.

According to the order, schools within the Srinagar municipal limits will now operate from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while those outside the municipal limits and in other areas of the Kashmir division will function from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The DSEK has directed all educational institutions to adhere strictly to the revised timings without any deviation.

The decision to revise school timings comes ahead of the Meteorological Department’s forecast, which predicts generally cloudy weather on November 4 and 5, with a possibility of a brief spell of light rain or snowfall in the higher reaches of Kashmir.
