Sikhs on Saturday protested against the attack on the Nankana Sahib gurdwara in Pakistan, the birthplace of Guru Nanak, by hooligans and continued threat to minorities from a violent mob.
Raising slogans against the Pakistan government after a video surfaced in social media about thousands of people laying siege to the sacred religious place of Sikhs, community members urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take up the issue with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Protesters also expressed concern over the way Sikh girls were being converted and forced into marriage due to which minority groups were living in fear. The organisation demanded that the Pakistan government should take action against the instigators, who are attacking Sikhs and also threatening to change the name of Nankana Sahib. —TNS
