Six killed in road accident in UP’s Shravasti

At least six people were killed in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti on Saturday morning, police said.

Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh said 14 people were injured when a speeding Innova car rammed into a tree near Sundarai village around 6:00 am today.

Police pulled the car out of the pit with the help of JCB and rushed all of them to the community health centre where six were declared brought dead by doctors.

The other eight have been referred to Bahraich Medical College in critical condition.

All the occupants of the car had come here from Ludhiana in Punjab to attend the funeral of a relative, he said.

The deceased have been identified.
