Panaji bench of Bombay High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Sukhvinder Singh, an accused in BJP leader and social media influencer Sonali Phogat murder case, defence advocate said.
Advocate Sukhwant Singh Dangi, on phone, said that the bail was granted, however, what were the conditions of bail, will be known only after receiving a copy of the Order.
Sonali Phogat was found dead on the intervening night of August 22 and 23 last year. Family of Sonali had alleged that she was drugged and killed by her personal assistants Sudhir Sangwan and Sukwinder. Police had filed the case against both the accused. Later, the case was investigated by CBI and a charge sheet was filed by the investigation agency in November last year.
