In a major action against narcotics trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, police on Tuesday attached an immovable property belonging to an alleged drug peddler from Anantnag district in connection with a narcotics case registered in Srinagar.
Police said the attached property comprises a residential house belonging to Aamir Hassan Mir, a resident of Bonpora Dupatyar in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district. The property is estimated to have a market value of around Rs 1 crore.
The attachment was carried out under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR registered in 2026 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Shergari, Srinagar.
Police said the attachment proceedings were executed in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Bijbehara, after completion of all due legal formalities.
The said property shall neither be sold, transferred nor otherwise dealt with without prior permission of the competent authority.
