Three killed, 7 injured in road crash in Sri Lanka

 Three people were killed and seven others were injured when two vehicles collided in the Mankulam area in northern Sri Lanka on Tuesday, said the police.

The police said a van heading from the capital Colombo to the northern city of Jaffna had collided with a truck parked on the side of the road. According to the police, the injured were rushed to the hospital.

Some 19,740 road crashes were reported in the South Asian country in 2022, killing 2,485 people, according to the police.
