Two persons stabbed in north-east Delhi, para-military deployed for security

Two men were allegedly stabbed by their neighbour over some petty issue in north-east Delhi’s Brijpuri area, where communal riot was hit in the year 2020, police said on Saturday.

The para-military personnel have been deployed in the area in view of the men were stabbed by another community.

According to police, Sonu and his cousin Rahul went to have ice cream after dinner near Brijpuri Gali No 7, where they had some argument with Mohd. Zaid (20) over a petty issue.

During this argument, Mohd Zaid pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed Rahul in lower abdomen portion. Sonu also sustained injuries on his arms, police said.

A case under section 307/324 IPC has been registered at P

Dayalpur police station.

The man hunt is on to nab Mohd Zaid. Investigation is underway, police said.
