Two youths were killed and two others injured when a motorcycle collided with an SUV in Walterganj area of Basti district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Saturday.
Police sources said that the incident took place late on Friday night when the motorcycle collided with the SUV on Bansi-Basti road.
“Two motorcycle-borne youths identified as Jagjeevan (32) and Vibhanshu (28), both residents of Barabanki district, sustained serious injuries in the accident and died on the spot,” they said.
Police sources said that two passengers of the SUV were also injured in the incident and were admitted to the hospital.
“The SUV driver escaped from the spot after the incident. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination,” they said.
