Four persons were killed and three others were injured when an SUV carrying a marriage party collided with a tree in Badausa area of Banda district here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said here on Monday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Laxmi Niwas Mishra said that seven persons were returning from Badausa village after attending a marriage function. “On Jhansi-Mirzapur national highway the rammed into the tree near Turra village killing two persons on the spot,” he said.
He said that five persons were injured in the incident and were admitted to the district hospital. “Two of the injured died during treatment on Monday morning. Three injured have been referred to Kanpur in a serious condition,” he said.
