Five persons were killed and several others were injured when a bus collided with an unidentified vehicle in Shukul Bazar area of Amethi district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place on Purvanchal expressway where the bus from Delhi to Siwan collided with an unidentified vehicle. “The left side of the bus was damaged in the collision,” they said.
Police sources said that five passengers were killed in the incident and 12 others were injured. “The injured were admitted to the community health centre from where one was referred to the district hospital in a serious condition,” they said.
Police sources said that efforts are being made to identify the deceased.
