UP is developing as per Modi’s vision and Yogi’s mission: Rajnath

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that a new chapter of development is being written in Uttar Pradesh as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the mission of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Addressing an event of the launch of projects, including two national highways with an investment of Rs 3,300 crore organised at Maharishi University of Information Technology on IIM Road, Rajnath said that CM Yogi is wholeheartedly engaged in building a new UP.

The CM has set a target of turning Uttar Pradesh into a one trillion dollar economy, which will be completed in the near future.

He said that today seven expressways are being constructed in the state. Along with this, three international airports are operational in the state.

Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of making India’s economy the world’s largest by 2047.

The Defence Minister said, “It can be called the charisma of Modi that the Indian economy, which was in 11th place in the world before 2014, has risen to fifth place today.”

He said that India ranks third in terms of procurement. “The world’s renowned financial firm Morgan Stanley has expressed confidence about India that in four years that is by 2027, India’s economy will become the third largest in the world,” Rajanth said

The Minister said that infrastructure which is required to make Lucknow a world class city is being developed here. “The highway inaugurated here will prove to be a milestone. With this, a large number of vehicles will be able to come and people’s time will also be saved,” he said.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore, Union Minister of State for Road, Transport and Highways VK Singh, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Minister of Public Works Department Jitin Prasad, Social Welfare Department Minister Aseem Arun and other leaders were present on the occasion.
