Three persons, including a woman, were killed when a motorcycle was hit by a truck in the Haidergarh area of Barabanki district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.Police sources said that the incident took place near Chaubisi village on the Lucknow-Sultanpur highway when the truck hit the motorcycle. “The motorcyclists who fell on the road were later mowed down by the truck killing two men and a woman,” they said.Police sources said that the local residents tried to intercept the truck but it sped away.
“The police and highway ambulance reached the spot after being informed by the local residents and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination,” they said.Police sources said that on the basis of the registration number of the motorcycle, the victims are said to be residents of Amethi district. “Efforts are being made to ascertain the identity of the victims,” they said.
