A traffic police personnel committed suicide inside the traffic police booth under mysterious circumstances in Kotwali area of Hardoi district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that on Tuesday when other personnel reached the traffic police booth at Soldier crossing in City Kotwali area they found the body of traffic police personnel Ashok Kumar hanging with the iron angle. “The personnel informed the senior officials who reached the spot after which the body was taken down,” they said.
Police sources said that nothing was found when the belongings of Ashok Kumar were searched. “There was no apparent injury mark on the body. The reason behind the suicide is not clear. Ashok was a resident of Deoria district and lived alone in Hardoi,” they said.
Police sources said that Ashok’s family has been informed and the body has been sent for post mortem examination.
