When Will Rights Bodies Wake Up, Asks LeT

Srinagar: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah on Saturday said Pulwama killings are a wake-up call for the international human rights organizations and “so-called” torchbearers of human rights.

“These organizations protest against the brutality on animals but when would they wake up in protest against the unjust killings of Kashmiris,” a spokesperson of LeT Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to GNS quoted Shah as saying.

Strongly condemning the “gross atrocities” committed by Indian forces on Kashmiris, LeT chief said, “If India thinks it can sustain its illegal occupation by killing innocents, it is living in a fool’s paradise. By the grace of Allah, Kashmiris stand united against Indian aggression.

The blood of freedom fighters and people are flowing together. Both are rendering immense sacrifices which will pave way for freedom.”

Mehmood Shah urged the people to rise above their differences with each other and forge a unified alliance against Delhi’s rule.

He hailed the “immense sacrifices” rendered by people and “martyrs”, and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. (GNS)
