Why Is Mehbooba Silent About Asiya And Neelofar: Rasheed

AIP chief and MLA Langate Er Rasheed Saturday frequently interrupted CM Mehbooba Mufti’s speech and accused that whatsoever she was reading was “the script given to her from Nagpur”.

rasheedHe also accused that Omar Abdulla of not countering “Mehbooba’s anti-Kashmiri policies because he has guilty conscious”.

“Mehbooba’s stand on Sainik Colony, composite townships and other vital issues got badly exposed,” he said.

“Why do local Sainiks need separate colonies after retirement; if they have their own good houses?” Rasheed asked the CM.

He ridiculed Ms Mehbooba’s explanation that Muslims and Sikhs will also be settled in transit colonies for Kashmiri Pandits and said, “what prevents Kashmiri Pandits from settling in their own places, if non-migratory Pandits are already living in communal harmony with their Muslim brothers.”

When Mehbooba tried to justify her anti-Kashmiri policies and said that Palestinians are getting best education despite conflict, Rasheed while confronting her, argued, “because Palestinian enemy Israel is still for more civilised than India.”

Rasheed reiterated that Governor “has no moral or constitutional right” to address the state Assembly as his position is “violation” of conditional Instrument of Accession.

He also lashed out at NC and added, “this party is root cause of all sufferings Kashmiris are facing.”

Reacting to Omar Abdullah’s criticism that why PDP formed government with BJP, Rasheed reminded him that like NC, PDP too “doesn’t have any principles”.

“The way NC used to call Congress leaders ‘gutter worms’  and then felt no shy in joining hands with Congress, PDP is using the same formula to justify its alliance with BJP,” he said in  a statement.(Agencies)
