10 Structures Shattered At Safa Kadal

At least 10 structures were gutted in a fire incident at Safa Kadal area in Shaher-e-Khaas on Saturday evening.
Witnesses said fire started around 7.30 pm from a house at Waniyar area of Safa Kadal and engulfed adjoining nine structures.
"The fire was brought under control at 8.30 pm. Six shops and four houses were gutted in the incident. A woman received head injuries and was rushed to SMHS hospital," said Sub Inspector, Yaseen Ahmad of Safa Kadal police station.
The houses belonged to Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Manzoor Ahamad Khan, Muhammad Shafi Khan, sons of Muhammad Sultan Khan.
Besides house of a woman was also gutted.
In the blaze, six shops including Teeco Book seller, Irshad Dental Clinic and Shaheen Fabrics were gutted. Police said the fire was caused due to short-circuit.
