Srinagar, May 13 (UNI) Four persons, including a father-son duo, reportedly died due to asphyxiation while cleaning a trench in Kashmir’s frontier district of Kupwara on Friday.
One Mohammad Younus, resident of Anantnag, has been shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital in Srinagar for special treatment.
Sources said that panic gripped the Kigam Gund village this afternoon, when four persons fell unconscious during the cleaning of a trench.
They were shifted to 168 Army Hospital in Drugmulla, where doctors declared them brought dead, sources said.
The deceased were identified as Nazir Ahmad Magray, Abdul Gani Magray, Lateef Ahmad Magray and Ubaid Ahmad Magrary.
