5.6-magnitude quake hits Southeast of Honshu, Japan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted southeast of Honshu, Japan, at 1246 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 69.7 km, was initially determined to be at 29.09 degrees north latitude and 141.96 degrees east longitude.
