Absconder among 3 drug peddlers arrested in Kashmir: Police

Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three drug peddlers including an absconder and recovered contraband substances from them in Kashmir valley.


Police said acting on specific information generated from credible sources regarding the presence of an absconder drug peddler raided the specified location at Khargund, Kulgam in south Kashmir and arrested one Gulzar Ahmad Lone who was evading his arrest since the last three years.


Police said the accused was wanted in a case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of Police Station Qazigund. He has been shifted to police station Qazigund.
Two drug Peddlers were arrested and 143 capsules of SPS PHEN Plus recovered at Jambazpora Baramulla during routine patrolling


The accused were identified as Mohammad Arif Magray, a resident of Chakloo and Sameer Ahmad Dar of Janbazpora, they were nabbed during routine patrolling at Janbazpora Baramulla. They were coming from Chakloo towards Janbazpora and upon seeing the patrolling party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.

A Case under NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigations set in motion, police said.
