Srinagar: Keeping in view the forthcoming winter tourism season the secretary tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah chaired a meeting of tourism stake holders, Civil citizens of Gulmarg in which all the tourism players of the said area along with the hoteliers, transporters, ski operators, pony and sledge owners.

The said important meeting was also attended by the conscious citizens of the Gulmarg and neighbourhoods to hold brainstorming sessions to devise ways and practical methods so that the glory and heritage of Gulmarg can be preserved and promoted in and outside country.

The secretary stressed for creating an atmosphere of friendliness and facilitation in the Gulmarg for the tourists who throng Kashmir and Gulmarg specifically in the winter. The secretary warned the violators of tourist trade act and cheaters for dire consequences if anyone indulges in such practice. He instructed the officials of tourism, JKTDC, Gulmarg development authority and hoteliers and other stake holders to cooperate with each other  for making Gulmarg clean and hygienic spot which is mandatory to retain its glory as one of the best winter tourism destination of the country.

The secretary urged the officials and other stakeholders of tourism trade to realize the vision of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syeed to make JK as one of the best tourism destination of the country.

The secretary tourism instructed the enforcement agencies to be strict in curbing and controlling the cheaters and violators of tourist trade act.

 He urged the tourism and other agencies to gear up for the forthcoming winter season to ensure successful winter season in the destination .The director tourism Kashmir Mahmood shah, CEO Gulmarg development authority Nazir Mir and IISM principal along with other officials were also present in the meeting.
