Anjuman, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir greet Muslims on Rabi-ul-Awwal

Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar on  behalf of its  incarcerated President Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday extended heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the arrival of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the holy month in which the last saviour of humanity – Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born.

Anjuman in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the arrival of the merciful Prophet (SAW)  mark the end of inhumanity, oppression, ignorance and injustice and his arrival marked a new dawn for the purification of civilisation.

Anjuman said that it is regrettable that even at the beginning of this blessed month, Mirwaiz Kashmir continues to be under illegal house arrest for more than 4 years now and is not allowed to fulfill his religious obligations and responsibilities the Institution of Mirwaiz enjoins upon him.

Strongly protesting against this dictatorial attitude of the rulers, the Anjuman demanded the immediate release of Mirwaiz from house detention
