Army Commander chairs core group security review in Srinagar

Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Friday chaired a core group security review meeting in Srinagar with senior officials from the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other security agencies.


Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said the meeting reviewed the progress of a joint operational review that commenced on January 22, with a focus on strengthening inter-agency intelligence sharing, enhancing coordinated operations and improving synergy among the security forces.


The review also emphasised reinforcing coordination through Joint Control Centres to ensure optimal operational effectiveness across the Valley.
