Army Officer Killed in Tanghdar Militant Attack

November 25: An army officer was killed today in a militant attack at an army camp near LoC in Tangdhar area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Reports said that a junior commissioned Officer of Indian Army was killed when armed militants attacked an army camp near LoC in Tangdhar area.
Sources said that a group of militants barged into the camp of 3/1 GR at around 6:00 am and killed the JCO. Sources more said that the heavy firing caused fire in oil depot due to which several barracks gutted in fire.
Reports said that a team of special commandos has been air dropped near the site who are are trying to control the situation.
An army officer on the conditions of anonymity said that the militants have barged into the JCO mess and heavy exchange of fire is going on.
