While welcoming the Central Government’s decision to ban ‘Popular Front of India’s(PFI) under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), Hindu Janjagaruti Samiti (HJS) on Wednesday demanded that the government should also ban PFI’s accounts Twitter and Facebook, as well as other social media accounts of ‘PFI’ and all its affiliated organisations should be closed immediately.

In a press statement, Ramesh Shinde, national spokesman of HJS, destroyed nine demons along with ‘PFI’ during Navratri; now impose a ban on ‘SDPI’ and celebrate ‘Dussehra’. PFI has been found involved in many anti-national and terrorist activities, as well as killings of Hindu leaders. For the past few years, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has been demanding a ban on ‘PFI’ through agitations, statements, social media campaigns, Navratri is being celebrated in the country and nine monstrous jihadi outfits including ‘PFI’ have been demolished. Now the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demands that ‘Dussehra’ should be celebrated by banning ‘SDPI’ which is a political wing of ‘PFI’.

While welcoming the ban, Mr Shinde said this ban would definitely stop terrorist activities but the work of spreading terrorist ideology would continue. If they continue to spread terrorism on social media, it would be used to create chaos in the country and the actual ban would have no meaning. Therefore, we strongly demanded that Twitter and Facebook, as well as other social media accounts of ‘PFI’ and all its affiliated organisations should be closed immediately.

He said in Pune recently, the workers of ‘PFI’ protested, in which slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were raised. Such incidents will also happen in large numbers now. However, the Samiti also demands that sedition cases should be filed against those who raise such slogans.
