BJP to hold legislature party meeting in Srinagar tomorrow: Sunil Sharma

Meeting to chalk out strategy for Assembly session

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir unit, has convened a meeting of its legislators on Thursday morning in Srinagar to finalise the party’s strategy for the upcoming autumn session of the Legislative Assembly.

Leader of the Opposition and senior BJP leader Sunil Kumar Sharma will chair the meeting, which will focus on key issues the party plans to raise in the House.

“We are holding a meeting tomorrow at 8:30 AM to discuss the issues that will be taken up during the session,” Sharma said.

He reiterated that the BJP will hold the National Conference-led government accountable for what he termed a “betrayal of electoral promises.”

“The government has failed to deliver on its commitments made to the people — whether it is the promise of 200 free electricity units, 12 LPG cylinders per household, or other assurances given during the election campaign,” Sharma remarked.

Highlighting unemployment as a major concern, Sharma said the BJP would press the government to explain its failure to generate jobs for youth. “They had promised one lakh jobs, but not a single major initiative has been taken. We will demand answers on what they have done for the youth over the past year,” he added.(KINS)
