BJP Women wing demanded the state Chief Electoral Officer to lodge an FIR and initiate action against the RJD leaders and workers for using abusive words against LJP (Ramvilas) leader Chirag Paswan and his mother.

A delegation of the women’s wing of BJP comprising Anamika Singh Patel, Dr Usha Vidyarthi, and others called on the state Chief Electoral Officer here on Thursday and made the demand. The delegation also made a written complaint before the Chief Election Commissioner and district Returning Officer of Jamui.

The memorandum handed over by the delegation stated that the LJP leader Chirag Paswan and his mother were openly humiliated during an electoral meeting
of RJD in Jamui.

A related video was also viral on social media in which the words used by the RJD leaders and workers were clearly audible and their acts were also visible.

Drawing the attention of the Election Commission towards the issue the delegation said that such an act of any political party in a public meeting was punishable and was also in violation of the electoral Model Code of Conduct. They said strong legal action should be initiated to prevent it in the future.

The delegation also handed over the video clip along with the memorandum to the state Chief Electoral Officer.
