BJP’s Somaiya to file criminal case against Sanjay Raut tomorrow

Palghar, May 8 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya said on Sunday that he would register a criminal case against Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut for allegedly defaming him and his family members.

Talking to media while on a day’s visit to Virar town of the district, he said that tomorrow morning he, his wife and son would go to the Mulund police station and register the complaint against Raut.

Through his allegations and comments against his family members, the Sena MP had indulged in character assassination of his wife, Somaiya said.
Earlier, he held a two-km-long road show in the town, in which hundreds of BJP activists participated.

In a hard-hitting speech targeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his government, BJP leader said that now the cabinet members and the family members of Uddhav are facing problems, thereafter, it will be the turn of the Chief Minister himself.

He will also not be spared, Somaiya asserted.
The citizens of the state will not pardon the rampant corruption by the MVA government during the Covid crisis, he noted.

He also said that the city unit of BJP has formed a committee to bring out instances of corruption in the Thane civic body within a month and it will be followed by the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation, he informed.

On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent foreign tour, Somaiya said that his visit has indicated that gradually India was becoming powerful and being admired worldwide and also, he is being accepeted as the world leader, he added.
