Jammu, (UNI): The sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) on Friday carried out raids at multiple locations in relation to the alleged fraud in Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub Inspector recruitment.
This comes days after Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced cancellation of the list and recommended an investigation.
The selection list of PSIs triggered row as many aspirants claimed fraud and irregularities.
“To investigate the matter, the CBI team this morning raided the Akhnoor and adjoining areas,” official sources said.
Sinha had last month announced the cancellation of the list and recommended a CBI probe stating that the culprits will be brought to book.
On June 10, a committee was framed to enquire alleged irregularities in the written test conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) and asked for the submition of its report or recommendations within fifteen days.
The list of 7200 candidates who had cleared the written exams and qualified for the physical test was displayed online on June 4.
