Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Thursday announced an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)-supported digital portal to provide training in patent filing and research paper writing for researchers, students and innovators across the country.
The announcement was made during a joint review meeting of key scientific departments, where the Minister assessed progress on major research initiatives, institutional coordination and science administration reforms.
Dr. Singh said the portal will help researchers improve scientific writing skills, understand publication processes and gain knowledge about intellectual property rights and patent procedures. He noted that the initiative would strengthen India’s research and innovation ecosystem by enabling scientists to convert their work into publications and patents.
The Minister also stressed the need for greater collaboration among scientific institutions, improved science communication through digital platforms and stronger administrative efficiency across departments.
He reviewed preparations for ESTIC 2026 and called for wider participation of scientific institutions, startups, industry representatives and young innovators to showcase India’s growing scientific and technological capabilities.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to enhance coordination among scientific departments and increase the societal impact of research and innovation.(KINS)
