Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic loss of 10 Indian Army soldiers in a road accident in Doda district, where an Army vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
The Lieutenant Governor as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of the gallant soldiers who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. He spoke to senior officials and directed them to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured soldiers and extend all necessary assistance to the bereaved families.
In his condolence message, the Lieutenant Governor said:
“Deeply saddened at the loss of lives of 10 of our brave Indian Army soldiers in an unfortunate road accident in Doda. We will always remember the outstanding service and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers. My deepest condolences to the grieving families. In this moment of profound sorrow, the entire nation stands united with the bereaved families in solidarity and support. Ten injured soldiers have been airlifted to the hospital. Directed the senior officials to ensure best possible treatment. Praying for their speedy recovery.”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed deep grief over the tragic accident.
In his message, the Chief Minister conveyed condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost their lives and wished a full and speedy recovery to the injured.
Omar Abdullah lauded the swift rescue and evacuation efforts carried out by the Army and local authorities, stating that their timely response helped in providing immediate assistance to the injured personnel.
Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti expressed profound sorrow over the tragic incident. In a message, she said she was deeply saddened by the news from Doda, where the Army vehicle accident claimed the lives of 10 brave soldiers.
Mehbooba Mufti extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers. (KINS)
