Drug, Liqour Supplier Slapped with PSA in Anantnag

Islamabad: Authorities on Friday booked a notorious drug and liqour seller under Public safety act (PSA) in southern Anantnag district. Police had arrested the liqour seller, Manzoor Ahmad alias Satta of Kewa Qazigund along with 4000 bottles of liqour. After being arrested police prepared a dossier against him which was signed by the district magistrate Anantnag on Thursday.
A police official said that the liqour seller was sent to Kotbalwal jail today. He said that around 12 cases stand registered against Satta in connection with his illegal trade.
"Satta was promoting drug abuse and alcoholism among the youth of the area. Despite several warnings to him he continued with his illegal trade," SDPO Kulgam Ashfaq Alam told the Legitimate.
Locals have hailed the authorities for going tough against the liqour supplier. "Satta is responsible for murdering the dreams of many youth of the area. People of the entire area will heave a sigh of relief now," said a local Mohammad Saleem.
