Jammu, Aug 6 (UNI) Police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler with 200 grams of heroin in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
SSP Samba Abhishek Mahajan said that police party led by Station House Officer, Police Station Vijaypur, Inspector Rajeev Kumar acting on tip-off, HO PS Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari intercepted a sleeper bus bearing near AIIMS check point on Jammu-Pathankot national highway.
During checking, a total of 200 grams of heroin wrapped in transparent polythene bags was recovered from the pocket of the bus helper identified as Alam of village Alle Chak, District Gurdaspur, Punjab.
He was arrested on the spot while a case under relevant sections was registered and investigation started.
