At least five buses were damaged in a late-night fire incident in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The blaze broke out at the main bus stand Kupwara during the night and quickly spread, engulfing several parked vehicles.
Officials said three buses were completely gutted, while two others sustained partial damage.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after hectic efforts, preventing further damage. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation.
