Pattan: Hamid Rather, a social activist and writer from Pattan demands an impartial probe in the alleged domestic violence case which led to the death of a women in Kreeri tehsil in north Kashmir.
While taking to media Hamid said, “My heart reaches to the family of the deceased women due to alleged domestic violence. I stand with their pain and suffering. Our society has become a sinkhole of violence against women. We must develop values in the society that are respectful to women”
The social activist said that to alley the fears of family an impartial probe in the matters that led to the death of the women is the need of the hour.
On Monday the activist visited the bereaved family in Warpora Pattan and expressed his condolences
Meanwhile, administration has already set a SIT to investigate the alleged Kreeri domestic violence case.
