Srinagar: Harkat-ul-Mujahideen has appealed to the parents and public “not to send their children on army tours”.

In a tele-statement to KNS, Harkat spokesman Hassan Askari said that its chief Moulana Sajjad Hussain chaired a meeting and asked people to avoid army sponsored tours.

“The chief appealed to the people in Kashmir not to send their children on tours sponsored by the army. He also appealed Moulvis not to go on these tours. The teachers were also requested to dissuade students from going on these tours, and instead focus on education,” the spokesman said.

The spokesman also said that people in Kashmir should not “forget the atrocities done by the army on people of Kashmir. Also, the people should always remember Kunanposhpora and Shopian rape and murder of Asiya and Neelofar tragedy.” (KNS)
