A helicopter crashed in Qatar due to a technical malfunction and fell into territorial waters, a search for the crew is underway, the Qatari Defence Ministry said on Sunday.
“The Ministry of Defence of State of Qatar announces that a Qatari helicopter had technical malfunction during a routine duty, which led to its crash in the regional waters of the State,” the ministry said.
The search operation to locate the crew and passengers is underway, the ministry added.
