Illicit Liquor, Fukki Recovered As Police Conducts Raids On Dhabas Along Highway

Srinagar: Kulgam police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered fukki and illicit liquor after the raids were conducted on various Dhabas located along highway.

According to a statement issued to KNO, a spokesman said, “Police in Qazigund carried out raids on various Dhabas located on Highway and recovered huge quantity of contraband substances from the Dhaba owners.”

“During the raid at Raja Vaishno Dhaba located at Nipora Mirbazar, 15 kilograms of fukki was recovered. One person identified as Sukhdev Kumar of Udhampur who was running the Dhaba has been taken into custody.

A case under relevant sections of law has been registered,” police said. A spokesman said that from Vaishno Dhaba Levdoora Qazigund, police recovered 10 bottles of liquor and 3 kilograms of fukki. “One person identified as Suhail Ahmed Ganai resident of Nussu who was running the Dhaba has been arrested. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered,” he said, adding that investigation in both the cases is going on.(KNO)
