The BJP is likely to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir after the successful culmination of Amarnath Yatra in August this year. The BJP which broke its ally with PDP in state is behind the scenes trying to win the confidence of some PDP members to break away with their party to join their coalition, reports said.

A New Delhi based news channel news18 reports that BJP is likely to elevate the senior PDP leader Muzaffer Hussain Baig as state’s chief minister besides get some more members from the party to stake claim for the government formation after amaranth Yatra culmination. The channel, however, reports that some legislatures form NC and Congress are also likely to join them.

While the BJP had pulled out last month from the PDP terming it “untenable” to run the government with it, the channels reports that some legislatures unhappy and unsatisfied with the family centric PDP may turn rebel and announce their exit from the Mehbooba led PDP.

Pertinently, there is a discord among the legislatures of PDP following the certain decisions of furthering the family rule by Mehbooba Mufti and disheartening its party cadre across the state.
