A devastating fire broke out late last night at the Trauma Centre of Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan, claiming the lives of seven patients.
In response to the tragedy, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed deep sorrow, calling the incident “extremely unfortunate” in a post on X.
The Chief Minister visited the hospital to assess the situation, spoke with doctors and officials, and directed them to ensure immediate relief efforts.
He assured that every possible measure is being taken for the safety, treatment, and care of those affected, and that the situation is under constant monitoring.
CM Sharma offered prayers for the departed, expressing his hope that Lord Shri Ram would grant peace to the souls of those who have passed away.
He added that the state government stands firmly with the families of the victims and is committed to providing them with all necessary support.
