Jammu Police on Tuesday arrested two absconders wanted in murder case, said the spokesman.
He said that acting on information, police team of Police Station Gandhi Nagar raided suspected locations and arrested the absconding accused persons namely Malkeet Singh and Gaganpreet Singh, both residents of Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
During personal search, the spokesman said that one pistol, magzine and four live cartridges and a sharp edged weapon were recovered from their possessions.
A fresh case under relevant sections was registered and investigation started.
Police said that one of the accused (Malkeet Singh) was on parole for few days but didn’t reported back. Reportedly, he had absconded to Nepal. Another absconder was evading arrest since the FIR was lodged, police added.
