Javid Matoo is new DIG south Kashmir

Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Javid Iqbal Matoo is the new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Police for south Kashmir Range.

Matoo replaced Altaf Khan (IPS), who has been posted at DIG, Indian Reserve Police (IRP), Kashmir.

As per the order issued by the Principal Secretary to the Government on Thursday, Matoo has been posted as DIG south Kashmir while Khan is new DIG IR Kashmir.

Khan replaced another IPS officer Abdul Qayoom.

Qayoom has been transferred and posted as DIG Crime, J&K, vice Matoo.

Ch. Iftikhar Ahmad, Additional SP Pulwama, is transferred and posted as Deputy commandant IR-24 Bn, against an available vacancy.

Shafat Mohammad Najar, awaiting adjustment upon promotion as SP, is posted as Additional SP Pulwama, vice Ch. Iftikhar Ahmad.
