At least four people are feared dead after a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on Zojia Pass on the Srinagar-Ladakh highway on Tuesday, officials said.
The accident took place at Panimatha on the old Zojila when a Sumo vehicle skidded off the road this morning and fell deep into a gorge, traffic officials said.
“The driver of the vehicle has survived, and his phone is coming out of reach,” they added.
A rescue operation has been launched by the police and civil administration, they said.
