A gunfight erupted between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday evening in tehsil Billawar of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Special Operation Group Kathua has engaged terrorists in the forest of Kamadh Nullah,” said officials.
They said that acting on specific inputs about presence of terrorists in the Kamadh Nullah of Billawar, security forces launched a massive search operation.
“The terrorists fired at the search party, which was retaliated and encounter triggered,” they said.
They added that the area has been cordoned, adding, “the searches are in progress.”
