Srinagar:  The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mr. Abdul Haq informed the House that construction of indoor complex at Param Vir Chakra Bana Singh Stadium in Jammu was completed at an estimated cost of Rs 68.55 lakh in 2013-14. He said, however, work on pavilion was started through R&B department at an estimated cost of Rs 4.68 crore adding that Rs 27 lakh have been allocated for PVC Bana Singh Stadium during current fiscal.

Replying on behalf of the Sports Minister to a question by Dr Gagan Bhagat, the Minister said that 25 outdoor and 8 indoor stadia are in the State, which are managed by the Sports Council. He said all stadiums are of national level in the State. However, State has only one International Stadium viz Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium Srinagar.
