In a continued drive against drug abuse, J&K Police in Budgam arrested a drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of contraband substance in the Chadoora area.
A police team of Police Station Chadoora during routine patrol duty in Ganjibagh village intercepted a suspicious person with a nylon bag. Upon search of the nylon bag, police recovered semi-grinded charas-like substance weighing approximately 7 kilograms and 910 grams. The accused has been identified as Mehraban Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Qayoom Bhat, resident of Gopalpora. He has been arrested and accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 208/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and further investigation has been initiated.
