J&K Police slaps PSA to three notorious criminals

Jammu and Kashmir Police have slapped and detained three notorious criminals under Public Safety Act in order to curb the criminal activities in the Samba district.

The police spokesman said the accused identified as Narayan Sharma alias Shuna, resident of Thalori Brahmana, tehsil Vijaypur, district Samba, Rohan Kumar alias Gorav, resident Of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana district Samba and Sumit Slathia alias Bhanu Partap Singh, resident of Gurha Slathia tehsil Vijaypur district Samba have been involved in multiple criminal cases, posing a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity.

“Following their repeated engagement in criminal activities, detention orders were issued by the District Magistrate Samba based on detailed dossiers prepared by SSP Samba,” said the spokesman.

He added that police teams of Police Station Vijaypur and Police Station Samba successfully executed these warrants, leading to the incarceration of the accused in District Jail Kathua.

“The successful operation shows the commitment of Samba Police towards ensuring safety of the public and its resolve to counter criminal activities,” he added.
