JK’s lower House ground anti beef ban bill as speaker adjourns House

Srinagar: The Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday grounded the anti beef ban bill presented by Er Abdul Rashid, MLA Langate after speaker Kevinder Gupta adjourned the House for day.  

Since the bill was supposed to be discussed in second half of the session, the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Syed Basharat Bukhari and Rural Development Minister, Abdul Haq Khan opposed to extend the time and said the business of House can only run till 1:30 pm as per business advisory committee.

The opposition leader of National Conference, Omar Abdullah opposed and said House can run till midnight. “When we can run House in Jammu till late evening why not here,” he said” we should discuss bill now. We don’t need to take lunch”.

 Meanwhile, Rashid said that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Sajad Lone, minster of Animal Husbandry are brothers of Prime Minister Narender Modi.

“People of Kashmir should introspect as PDP-BJP bonhomie got exposed,”
