Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday addressed the Teachers’ Day celebrations in Srinagar, paying tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and felicitating award-winning teachers from across Jammu and Kashmir.
In his address, the LG emphasized integrating sustainable development and climate awareness into the education system, urging teachers to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and life skills in students.
He said teachers bring a “human touch” that no technology or AI can replace and called for innovation, teamwork, and perseverance in classrooms.
The LG also connected the role of education with environmental responsibility, stressing the need for climate change awareness, Green J&K initiatives, and disaster resilience.
He paid homage to those who lost their lives in recent natural calamities and assured full rehabilitation support from the Centre.(KINS)
