Militants Sprit of Fighting Rejuvenates our Faith of Azadi: Shah

Srinagar: A day after his release from a month long police detention, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah on Sunday visited Bijbehara to pay tributes to martyrs Shaheed Sartaj Ahmad Lone, Shaheed Tanveer Ahmad Bhat and Shaheed Adil Ahmad Sheikh.

Shah was accompanied by DFP Secretary General Moulana Abdullah Tari, Er Farooq Ahmad Khan, Ghazi Manzoor Ahmad, Molvi Bashir Ahmad and dozens of party workers.

Shah along with the delegation visited the residences of bereaved families and expressed condolence and solidarity with them.

According to a statement issued to KNS, on the occasion, Shah while addressing those present said the spirit of militants  against more than 7 lakh forces rejuvenates our faith and their sacrifices make us indebted to them.

He said with each passing day, the Kashmir issue gains attention at world forums due to the sacrifices rendered by our martyrs.

"No one will be allowed to play with the sacred blood of martyrs. I assure those families whose dear ones gave their lives that we will continue our freedom struggle till we achieve the desired goal," he said.

The DFP chairman said the martyrs sacrificed their lives for the resolution of Kashmir issue, the right to self determination and impressed upon the world leadership to full-fill its responsibilities with regard to Kashmir issue.

"The world leadership cannot turn blind eye towards the continuing bloodshed in Kashmir by the hands of Indian occupational forces. They should provide guideline for finding a peaceful and lasting resolution to this dispute and should take cognizance of the unabated loss of civilian lives due to the conflict. ," he said, adding that whole Kashmir has been turned into a virtual jail.

Commenting on the statements made by puppet pro-India parties, Shabir Ahmad Shah said these parties and politicians are digging their own grave by collaborating with the occupational rulers.

"The people of Kashmir are now fully aware of the deceptive policies of the pro-India parties and politicians," he said.

Later on, Shabir Ahmad Shah also visited the family of Muhammad Ashraf Sofi and expressed condolence with him on the demise of his father Muhammad Yousuf. (KNS)
