‘Million March’ to be Befitting Reply to Evil Designs of Mufti, Sangh Parivar’

Srinagar: In an order to make “Million March” programme successful to counter the proposed rally of Prime Minister Narender Modi on November 7, Chairman  Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani called an Advisory Council meeting (Majlis-e-Shura) on Saturday where in he asked all the affiliated parties to make programme successful with maximum participation of people.geelaniAddressing the meeting, Geelani said that the march has to be successful event to counter an attempt of PDP-BJP of changing the political discourse of Kashmir history

He said the rally proposed by New Delhi along with PDP is an attempt to mislead the world community and in no way they will let them succeed in their ill designs.

Geelani said that the proposed Million March will be a strong and befitting reply to the evil and wicked designs of Mufti Sayeed and the Sangh Parivar and at the same time it will also be a message to the world community that Kashmiri people have not given up their age old demand for plebiscite which NC tried to bury in 1975 accord.

The scheduled march will create history and will also refresh the memories of the mass gatherings of 2008.

In his presidential address, Geelani appealed all the Kashmiris who are living in foreign countries to organize small gatherings at their respective places in support of the said march on that day to express their solidarity with freedom movement.

He also appealed the Muslims of the Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal region to send their representatives to Srinagar to participate in the proposed Million March.

He urged the members of his party that to aware the general public about the importance and significance of the Million March, they have to run door to door campaign and inform them it will be a referendum to choose their political fate. 

The Ulamas and Islamic scholars should also play their role in making the march a success. The Hurriyat Chairman appealed the youths to publicize the “Challo, Challo TRC Challo” slogan from now in the form of wall paintings, posters, internet and social networking sites.

The other separatist groups participated in the meeting were Democratic Freedom Party, Anjuman Share-i-Shia, Jammu Kashmir Employees Movement, National Front, Tehreek-e-Khawateen Kashmir, Insaf Party, Democratic Political Movement, Mass Movement, People’s Political League, People’s Freedom League, People’s League, Tehreek-e-Wahadat-i-Islami, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Tehreek-e-Mazahamat, Muslim League, Kashmir Freedom Front and Islamic Political Party participated.

The meeting took stock of the preparations of the scheduled “Million March” and all the Hurriyat constituents were directed to suspend their respective party engagements and work for the success of the Million March.

Meanwhile, all the members of the Majlis-e-Shura praised the Million March announcement and assured full cooperation in making the march as success event “In a run to become more loyal than the king, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is extending his every possible help to the communal and fascist forces of India.”
